THE DIGITAL UNIVERSE JOURNAL

The Digital Universe Foundation has established a free online, refereed journal in order to foster important discussion concerning the Digital Universe and all aspects of collaborative and online knowledge dissemination.

This will be a source and an open exchange of new ideas for implementation, social communication, and methods to improve the effectiveness of this new approach to knowledge and its application.

The Future of Free Information

by Lawrence M. Sanger

"Ultimately the question will become:

Lawrence M. Sanger, cofounder of Wikipedia, argues that "in the future, there will be little debate whether a startlingly new and better information resource is possible ... the debate will concern what the resource's main features should be."

This paper proposes a list of those features and weighs them against what's currently available.
